UEL’S BIO
Uel Renteria (short for Samuel) Grew up on punk rock and skateboarding in Southern California and have been in SF since 2009. He is a queer Mexican American multi media artist. He started his career in the arts at the age of 18 when he joined the U.S Navy and served for four years as a photo journalist. He has worked as a freelance artist in the bay for over 10 years now, most recently focused on studio work (Paintography) and curating an art party called “Creator.” I make queer art. I have been described as the keith haring of San Francisco. I have had my art move people to the point where they destroyed it and others to write letters to have it removed." -Uel
